The Research Group Transmission Systems at the School of Computer Science and Engineering invites interested candidates to apply for the next possible date as a Research Associate (PhD Candidate) (m-f-d)The PhD project is on inter-linking source and channel coding based on LDPC and Polar codes. We already have earlier works in the area, but the current ideas are clearly moving ahead of the current state and completely nowel results are to be expected. A very good knowledge of coding, especially LDPC and/or Polar coding is required, likewise a safe foundation in communications, information theory, and digital signal processing.
