Curriculum Vitae

Khaled Shawky Hassan was born in Cairo, Egypt, in 1978. He received his Bachelor degree from the Department of Electronics and Communication of the Faculty of Engineering Engineering, Cairo University, 2001. Afterwards, he started his master's courses in the same place at the digital communication section, 2003. From 2001 till 2004, Mr. Hassan was with the system design department of Digital Ellipsis Systems, Cairo office, thereafter, a system developer and off-shore team organizer in Philips Semiconductor Dresden for almost two years. From March 2005 until September 2005, he was a research associate at the Cellular Wireless Communication group in the area of spectrum and resource allocation in the wireless system. In 2004, he was granted a scholarship from International University Bremen (IUB) to pursue his Master degree in Bremen, Germany. After finishing his Master thesis, he received the Master's degree from the School of Engineering and Science, IUB. He joined the Transmission Systems' group at IUB in December 2005 to pursue Ph.D. studies. His research interests are multicarrier techniques, resource allocation, algorithm optimization, system design, and digital signal processing.
